A 3 Month Commercial for Celebrity Branding You

NAZLAT ISSA, WEST BANK - OCTOBER 30: A Palesti...Image by Getty Images via @daylife

It was an odd day today. I woke up and decided that I would fix my bank account. It's been underperforming lately, so to speak. I have these images on this vision board on my wall, and only today did I realize that I was capable of most of all of the things, Now, that I was planning on being someday.

Anyway, I've taken Tim Ferriss' low information diet to heart, only reading material to help you finish the current project you are working on, and started something new today. I've decided that it is my responsibility to make sure these seeds of greatness blossom into beautiful flowering trees.

A seed will never feed you unless you water it. I aim to water these seeds of talent daily. A couple of months back, I had the idea of doing all the little challenges at the ends of the chapters in the 4 Hour Workweek and recording myself on video doing them. I couldn't justify myself doing it, because I couldn't see it going anywhere. I couldn't see how it connected to my ultimate goal: which it like many is to be rich, famous, and respected. (Yes, I am laughing at myself as I write this.)

All that was just a preface into this. I have justified doing the steps outlined in Celebrity Branding You, and I will do them in the next 90 days. Well I think I should put the list with some deadlines here.

professional photo -- cool rockband style (July 24th)
write a book -- on your topic of interest (August 7th)
testimonials -- of products and services (August 21st)
start a newsletter -- digital, then physical one later (August 22nd)
design and build a website (OMP) -- online marketing platform (August 31st)
promote your website -- syndication strategy (September 11)
monitor, optimize -- create new revenue streams (September 25th)
rollout -- go national with your business (October 9th)

*October 14th is the 90th day unless I just can't count the days properly on my phone.

I have to admit that this list looks intimdating, especially because I am going to be out of the country for most of the month of August, but I have gotten amateur photos taken by an art student, written a short book that I'm not very proud of, and gathered character testimonials (not product testimonials) in the past. But let's start at square one.

I am going to be creating a ridiculous amount of content in the next 90 days, because I've decided like Ed Dale that there is no charge for awesomeness. Well, there really shouldn't be. I have to get cracking on my recommendation website. Yeah, I just want to recommend products and services (free and paid) that work for me.

I'm going to go for a two times a week update since I have my main blog to attend to until I'm in Burma suffering from Internet withdrawal.

Brain Dump - Grad School Blahs

(*sigh) my cup overfloweth and yet I frown. I'm writing to maintain my sanity. For the life of me and I cannot express how pressed I am in this course Second Language Assessment. I cannot fully express how it drains the life from me to even write a few words about the material. And I have loved everything so far about the TESOL program.

There is some unfair grading practices...won't talk about those here, but I must say. Even though I have put everything on hold, and when I say everything, I mean all the fun things that I was doing to distract myself from my work, I still cannot seem to get everything finished. Twelve days left until the close of the course. I too finish on time so bad. I really do although I have already discussed a two week extension with Mary. So much is out of place. So much is incomplete. But, the professor has extended me grace with late work so I am going to try to get it all done in the next 12 days.

Aha, I know why I am dragging now. I have note listed everything in my usual neat little check-off list. I need to do that now:)

Psalms 18

Psalm 18 (King James Version)

This is how I felt about the criteria for the book review that has a 1000 word limit. It seemed impossible to meet the standards in only 1000 words, but with God nothing is impossible.

1 I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.

2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

4 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.

5 The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.

6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

7 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.

8 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.

9 He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.

10 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.

11 He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.

12 At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.

13 The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.

14 Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.

15 Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.

16 He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.

17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.

18 They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.

19 He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.

20 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

21 For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

22 For all his judgments were before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me.

23 I was also upright before him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.

24 Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.

25 With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright;

26 With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.

27 For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks.

28 For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.

29 For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.

30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

31 For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?

32 It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.

33 He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places.

34 He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.

35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.

36 Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.

37 I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed.

38 I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet.

39 For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.

40 Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me.

41 They cried, but there was none to save them: even unto the LORD, but he answered them not.

42 Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets.

43 Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.

44 As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.

45 The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.

46 The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.

47 It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me.

48 He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.

49 Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.

50 Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.

Happy I Figured Out My Fatigue Issue

Capital M, Capital S, Capital G

M S G

Also know as monosodium glutamate and many other names. I was having some chronic fatigue issues in the last couple of weeks, and I could not figure it out. Turns out that I am especially sensitive to the food additive monosodium glutamate (MSG). I figure that my father must have used an abundance of it on the chicken breast that he made for dinner because it knocked me right out. I was down for four hours and I did not pig out on the food. I had a average serving. One chicken breast, a little spinach, a fourth of a peice of corn, and a little rice. I immediately started to become tired after eating the chicken. My mother told me that it was all in my head. But, I have been drinking jungle juice and taking extra vitamins to combat this problem for weeks. I've even mixed up some of the trusty Super Green Food powder that we have sitting around, and nothing has worked.

Now, I understand. If Chinese food restaurants have been forced to put "No MSG" on the front of their places of business, then this chemical must be a serious health threat. I sent my dad an email with all the potential side effects. The most scary one for me was grostesque obesity. Not just obesity - grotesque obesity. Wake up America. Food additives are a big reason why you're fat. Then there are the minor side effects like cancer and heart disease. Makes you not want to eat any processed foods.

I had to copy this table just for people to see it:
